Weaknesses Runs HOT but hasn't had any long term effect--Recommended an open area away from heat sources like HVAC vents. Have to lower security settings for Active-X(not good for computer security generally).
Summary I have been running one of these cams for over 6 months and just added a second unit on the opposite side of the house where it's used to monitor an elderly shut-in. It has proven invaluable in monitoring and communicating with the patient. In the evening when lights are shut off, we have a few 4 watt photo cell night lights that give a great and clear image in the "low-Lux" mode. The TPZ feature allows us almost full coverage from one end of the house to the other...so far great reliability and function over the internet from anywhere at anytime !!!
