Strengths
These cameras when connected via Ethernet seem to work well and are reliable.

Weaknesses
But.... over a wireless network connected to a 2wire modem/router, they are not reliable. Rebooting the modem puts the camera into a hang that is only recoverable by cycling power on the camera.

Summary
So, I have been evaluating this camera for a week now and related Axis software. The only issue I have run into so far is this recovery problem over a wireless network. Unfortunately its a killer for the product. If you are planning to remotely manage these cameras, they must be reliable and never hang. In my case, no one is at the property to cycle power on a hung camera... so monitoring is dead until the next visit to the property. This is unacceptable in my opinion. Its very unfortunate, since I like the Axis software and the camera quality. The support channel over the web at Axis is weak. You get one question answered per day, which would make a 20 minute telephone conversation 20 days long. I don't understand why you can't get phone support, it would be much much faster. In any case, I would not recommend buying this product if you are running a wireless 2wire modem.

Customer Support was unable to address or reproduce my problems, mainly because they have limited resources and do not have a 2wire modem to test with.

Beware of return policy's. Axis does not except returns for credit! Once you buy a camera from Axis, you are stuck with it! They will replace it, or repair it, but thats it. If there is a design issue that makes it not functional, you are stuck with a paper weight product.
