Great design. Makes a lot of noise when Pan/tilt

For the price the image is just right. No optical zoom. Needs a far amount of light. It does respond to Infared Lamps a little bit tho.

Plug N Play UDnP Set up was all but putting a cd in my computer

Connectivity: 9.9 / 10
Never looses connection ever. Never noticed lag at all I have been using it for about 6 months now.

Other Features: 4.0 / 10
Not many features just the basic Image size and quality. No lux control. Has Great clear ajustable Audio.

Strengths
Connectivity is great. Easy to use and the image is good. Fast responding pan tilt controls and audio is top quality.

Weaknesses
Lacks the advanced features the DCS-6620 has. Needs light for good image

Summary
the DCS-5300 is a great start up camera for the office or small store. Requires a ethernet cord and has great audio and never looses connection. Don't buy this camera if you are looking for one with low light veiwing.
