A niche unit with only 1 competitor in the market (4XEM). I would suggest most users wait 6 months unless you are desperate to get on the leading edge early. Wait for another firmware upgrade or 2 and hopefully improved optics. ... (see the full review here)

Great camera! Especially for a great price can find for under around $700 bucks Beat $2,600 axis cameras and has all the same controls and features. With the outdoor enclousur DCS-70 works great for outdoor use. I would still buy this camera for over $1,200. ... (see the full review here)
