HNC210 Review

Reviewed by

Design: 5.0 / 10
The Camera when compared to others in the similar price range is ok but is limited when trying to place/mount it.

Image Quality: 4.0 / 10
Image was not impressive but was ok.

Easy of Use: 6.0 / 10
The camera itself was not too hard to setup, but documentation could use some work.

Connectivity: 8.0 / 10
Connectivity was not hard at all.

Other Features: 1.0 / 10
The camera has only one basic feature, streaming video via Active-X. No single image option, no option that would allow an outside automated image capture.

Strengths
Camera was cheap. Camera is ok for those who want to see a stream of video 24/7. Again camera was cheap.

Weaknesses
The camera does not have the ability to show still images, only streaming. Support page as someone else pointed out is lacking and does not make it easy to figure out how to download firmware or documentation.

Summary
If you are someone who is looking for a cheap always streaming IP Video camera, this is it. If however you are looking to try to capture still images or do other things with the camera, go ahead and spend a little extra for a better camera.

Also, don't expect support to be helpful at all! When I called they did not even understand the interface of the camera itself. They kept describing an interface that was from another camera. Finally they said just send an email which the reply was, we need to talk with R&D.

Good luck to those who have bought one or two (like me). Never again though!
