Hawking HNC720G Network Camera

HNC720G Review
Reviewed by
Design: 7.0 / 10 Fairly compact, not too large.
Image Quality: 5.0 / 10 I thought I was getting a 640x480. Wrong-o, Bong-o. Lower resolution and grainier - means this will not be used in a low-light environment.
Easy of Use: 2.0 / 10 As a wired camera, it is fine for I.E. users due to the installation of an ActiveX browser object. This means the Mac side of my family can't see the video stream. This device is not uPnP, and requires some advanced knowledge of port configuration.
Connectivity: 7.0 / 10 All-in-all as a wired connection and using DynDNS, It has worked. Forget about wireless - it has only worked with my D-link, not with my Actiontec, Linksys, or netgear.
Other Features: 0.5 / 10 Software is lame.
Strengths Fun toy - if forced education and pain is an enjoyable experience.
Weaknesses Same as Strengths. I have tried installing the setup and configuration from another vendor (including firmware - .bin file) to no avail.
Summary STAY AWAY from this camera unless Hawking tech provides a firmware update. There are better wireless-G netcams.
