Design: 8.0 / 10 Ok.
It appears to be a "fish eye" lens, so wanna-be thieves might believe they are seen no matter where they're standing. The controls were pretty easy to adjust and the increments were okay.
Image Quality: 8.0 / 10 Pretty good overall, but not perfect. The image was naturally better with wire than wireless.
Easy of Use: 8.0 / 10 I am not and IT manager. I've had experience with this stuff, but not so much. My husband usually does it all. I was impressed that I could wade my way through it and it worked.
Connectivity: 8.0 / 10 It connected readily using the wireless, but not because of the Linksys documentation. I got some hints from reviews that helped me find my way through it. Otherwise I'd have been frustrated.
Other Features: 0.0 / 10
Strengths Easy to hook up and get running and a decent picture.
Weaknesses Documentation is weak in spots. If you're not an IT-guy (or think to look at forums on the Internet) you could get frustrated figuring it out.
The software for monitoring the video isn't great. It's awkward until you spend some time with it and get some idea of which buttons to push.
Summary Expensive little camera, but pretty decent quality. I dislike the fact that it has to go to my computer and not to a stand-alone DVR. (Perhaps you can run it to a DVR and I just don't know that.)
If I had one room to watch and had room on my hard drive to capture the video, I'd buy it. If I had several rooms to watch and wanted ongoing video capture on all of them, I'd go with a system that includes a DVR that overwrites itself when it gets full.
