I purchased 12 of these piles of crap when they first came out for a custom security system. Let me tell you this is the absolute best camera for thiefs.
You got a real crummy picture over 5 feet, Low light incapable, and the resolution of nothing X nothing.
If you are a thief, and you see one of these cameras, take it all. Ain't nobdy can see you anyhow, even if they wanted to.

This has the worst picture of any ip camera on the market and I challenge anyone to show me something worse. I've worked on about 50 models of ip cameras and own an ip surveillance company and this is hands down the worst excuse for a camera I've ever seen. But the WVC200 is actually pretty good for price and has good bitrates. Hard to believe they are similiar cameras.... (see the full review here) |

Can you beleive they let the Digital Certificate Expire, then failed to fix the firmware for months! And when they did, it now doesn't load if you already uploaded the "interim" upgrade as they have the SAME version number!! If you buy this camera, and it does what you want, leave it. DO NOT start upgrading firmware, etc, as things only get worse. If it doesn't work for you out of the box, take it back and get something else.... (see the full review here) |

This was my first web camera purchase- setup was easy- accessing it from the web took a littl ebit longer, but was also simple- the image quality was very poor- you would basically need to have a flood light on the subject just to see what they are doing- i am in the process of sending it back- i don't even think its worth it for the price-- you are better off spending a couple more dollars and get a better product- plus the software that allows you to view other cameras doesn't work with the Ga... We are sending this back! Poor image quality, and even with our linksys router, we cannot access the camera anywhere remotely, not even on other computers on our wireless network. Technical support was unhelpful and could not provide a solution. Don't waste of time and energy!... (see the full review here) |

The camera has been working reliably for several months. Under bright light (outdoors), the video looks good. With the included software, you can record video and have motion detection. You can also display up to 4 cameras, which I suspect have to be Linksys. Has poor low light capabilities. Limited to Internet Explorer or Linksys software for access. If you want DDNS capability, you have to suscribe to Linksys service. If you use a router and it has DDNS, this is not an issue. Due to the... (see the full review here) |

I tried many webcams (I have at 6 cams at home) but this is the best way to do video security if you are interested in looking in the house once in a while.
