Part Number: WVC54GC

Design: 7.0 / 10
Good physical design. Looks good and easy to mount. Firmware features, quality lacking.

Image Quality: 7.0 / 10
Under bright light, image looks very good. Very poor low-light capability. 640x480 size not available.

Easy of Use: 7.0 / 10
A knowledgable user will have no problems.

Connectivity: 7.0 / 10
No problems connecting with Internet Explorer or linksys SW. Seems to have non-standard interface, could not get third party SW to work.

Other Features: 7.0 / 10
Zoom and snapshot when using browser.

Strengths
Physical package, video quality under bright light.

Weaknesses
Only one video compression format, no 640x480, only active-X browser interface, no Java so have to use Internet Explorer. Possibly not compatible with other software, for DDNS service you have to subscribe to Linksys service.

Summary
The camera has been working reliably for several months. Under bright light (outdoors), the video looks good. With the included software, you can record video and have motion detection. You can also display up to 4 cameras, which I suspect have to be Linksys. Has poor low light capabilities. Limited to Internet Explorer or Linksys software for access. If you want DDNS capability, you have to suscribe to Linksys service. If you use a router and it has DDNS, this is not an issue. Due to the limitations in compatibilities, I can not recommend it.

Forgot to mention, could not get email function to work. Supposed to email notice and video clip on motion detection. Would not connect to email server. Also does not have FTP function.
