Toshiba IK-WB11A Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Network Camera
Reviewed by
Design: 8.0 / 10 It comes with a sun shield and can be installed outdoors as-is. My only complaint is it has a little port on the bottom as if to connect waterproof conduit. It should have optional knockouts instead.
Image Quality: 9.0 / 10 I\\\'ve only had experience with this camera and the Axis 206 and 207. The higher resolution, even at lower framerates, is a definite bonus. Day and night images show great detail with sharpness and clarity. I do wish it could have a little wider field of view. Be sure to mount it farther rather than closer.
Easy of Use: 9.0 / 10 The web interface is slightly clunky and the live view doesn\\\'t work on a Mac. Otherwise, it has a great many features including recording with advanced masking, motion detection, and scheduling.
Connectivity: 9.9 / 10 Power over ethernet rules. IP cameras rule. I\\\'ve had 0 connectivity issues with a CAT 6 run over 150 ft. It\\\'s been operating great for months now.
Other Features: 9.0 / 10 PTZ is very convenient when it\\\'s mounted out of the way. It has many other features I haven\\\'t used. SD card slot for on-board recording, mic connections for audio, and I think some alarm connections. Kudos.
Strengths Image quality, Power over ethernet, reliability, PTZ.
Weaknesses A wider angle lens would be nice.
Summary An overall great camera. I\\\'m still looking and learning about other cameras, but this one is a great place to start.
