Smartvue(R) Corporation Releases 802.11N Draft Wireless IP Video Surveillance Solution

Smartvue S4 plug and play wireless IP video surveillance solution features 802.11N draft wireless and H.264 in camera video compression with patent-pending Trackvue track lighting camera mounts.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Smartvue® Corporation, an award-winning technology leader in the IP video industry, announced the release of Smartvue S4, a plug and play wireless IP video surveillance edge device which offers superior imaging quality and advanced security and track lighting camera mounting capabilities.

martvue S4 reduces the cost, complexity, and time required to install secure IP video surveillance. 802.11N draft wireless technologies fundamentally change how wireless signals are transferred and enable Smartvue S4 to offer up to 10 times the range of other 802.11 IP cameras. With H.264 in-camera video compression S4 significantly reduces video storage and network distribution requirements. It also utilizes ultra-wide dynamic range imaging and 17-bit data capture at the sensor for superior color depth and image quality, even in difficult lighting conditions. Smartvue S4 is the only surveillance system to offer patent-pending Trackvue track lighting camera mounts for ease of installation and camera mobility.

"As a security director for one of the country's leading museums of American art, I am faced with many unique and complex challenges in providing protection for all our assets. I wanted to find a surveillance solution that offered superior quality, reduced the complexity of deployment, and supported camera mobility," said Matthew St. John, Director of Security at the Reynolda House Museum of American Art. "Smartvue Corporation with their premium solution met our demanding requirements. With their long-range wireless capability, we are able to simply install cameras into our track lighting and point them where we want. The solution automatically configures these IP cameras for operation and recording."

"Our mission is to improve business performance by offering simple to use and innovative visual business intelligence technologies," said Martin Renkis, founder and CEO of Smartvue Corporation. "Smartvue S4 is the first wireless IP video edge device solution which enables both physical and IT security to rapidly deploy high quality and secure network enabled video surveillance."

Smartvue S4 is available directly from Smartvue and through leading security and IT resellers worldwide. Smartvue S4 is designed and manufactured in the United States.
