WAYNE, NJ (March 14, 2007) – JVC Professional Products Company introduces two new high-performance fixed IP mini-dome cameras, the VN-C215VP4U and the VN-C215V4U, to its family of dome cameras. These easy-install cameras provide versatile monitoring with Power Over Ethernet (POE) capability and complement JVC’s unique VR-N900U Hybrid (IP and Analog) Network Recorder.

The vandal-resistant VN-C215VP4U is ideal for outdoor applications and the VN-C215V4U is designed for indoor installations. Both cameras feature high-resolution, 1/4-inch Interline Transfer CCDs with 380,000 effective pixels that reproduce excellent detailed images.

“Our goal at JVC is to provide the most reliable and cost-effective surveillance products to our customers,” said Steve Martin, Division Manager, Assistant Vice President, Security, JVC Professional Products Company. “Our innovative and adaptable products can be utilized with any existing network, making our surveillance products an ideal solution.”

Both cameras are fully compatible with JVC’s Hybrid Network Video Recorder, the VR-N900U, producing high-quality images in the Motion-JPEG format with resolution of up to 640 x 480 pixels and a maximum full frame rate of 30 fps. Camera set-up and viewing of images can be achieved using a standard web browser over the Internet or via SMTP or FTP. Additionally, multicast capabilities (IGMP version 2) enable multiple client access.

The VN-C215VP4U is JVC’s first vandal resistant IP-network camera that meets IP66 rating and has a triple axis rotation mechanism that simplifies installation options. Suitable for prisons, campuses and parking garages, the VN-C215VP4U’s durable die-cast aluminum chassis and optional heater unit allow the camera to operate efficiently in temperatures reaching -22 degrees F.

Both cameras have a 3.6 x built-in variable focal length iris lens measuring 2.8 - 10mm and an Easy Day/Night function, which enables clear and well-defined images in black-and-white and color to be captured 24/7. Other advanced features include a motion detection function that can activate alarms and start video recording on a connected computer. The camera also includes an Easy Day/Night function that provides higher sensitivity under low illumination.

The suggested list price for the VN-C215VP4U is $1,120.00 and the VN-C215V4U is $950.00. Both mini-dome cameras are currently available. High-resolution photos and color brochures are available on the JVC Web site at http://pro.jvc.com/newsroom.
